Annual Report

2025

As you know well, the church or the Bride of Christ, is a gathering of people who are trying to become holy people after God’s own heart. The church comes into this building a couple times a week to learn, be challenged, and most importantly to worship and honor our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

We also know that our enemy, God’s enemy, Satan, will do anything he can to destroy what God is doing through NLCC. We are also aware God’s word tells us by way of encouragement and a promise that “Great is he who is in You than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Even though the enemy tries to destroy what God is doing in us and through us- he can’t win. Like every year, God proves Himself faithful. He has not forsaken His Bride. He has not left us all alone to deal with the enemy’s attacks.

Last year was proof of God’s faithfulness, and we anticipate greater blessings in the year 2026 as we seek out God’s wisdom and power and focus on the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Paul says in 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 “For thought we live in the world, we do not wafe war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world”.

The things we share with you in this report today are small snapshots of numerous victories, blessings and opportunities NLCC has had this past year because we continue to lift Jesus up. So, it is our prayer that those who have chosen to worship at NLCC will see God’s protection, blessings and understand the value each of you brings to the Kingdom work here. We know God will bless us if we continue to advance the gospel of Christ as our number one goal and love others as God has loved us.

- Tim Stewart

At North Liberty Christian Church, we believe we grow spiritually when we gather together purposefully as a church. It requires effort and intentionality from each of us to commit to worship God and hear His Word together every week. That's how we build community. A place where we worship together, pray for each other, help those around us find Jesus, and encourage each other to follow Him more wholeheartedly.

This year many people transitioned from online viewers to in-person attenders. While we believe you can experience God wherever you are, and however you choose to worship with NLCC, we are happy to see our in-person community grow and worship together in the same place.

Baptism

We have been blown away by what God has done in this church through baptisms in 2025. It’s difficult to describe the joy we were blessed to experience week after week, as we witnessed lives being saved. Seeing how God moved in 2025 has us excited to see what He has in store for 2026.

Our mission is to Experience God and Transform Lives. One of the markers of a transformed life is the decision to be baptized, a public demonstration of a personal decision to follow Jesus. Baptism is the symbol of being dipped into the water like a grave and being lifted out as a resurrection, and in doing so being washed clean of our sin, guilt, and shame, and given the gift of being filled with the Holy Spirit.

Serving at NLCC

Nothing we do at NLCC is possible without the support, effort, energy, and passion of our volunteers. From camera operators to teaching classes (and everything in between), we’ve found that when we serve selflessly with our time and talents we discover a deeper sense of belonging. Volunteering at NLCC means living out your purpose with a passion.

There are many ministry teams at NLCC that need your help. Don't let excuses stand in the way of what you know God is calling you to do. God will strengthen and empower you with what you need.

Community Groups are a key aspect of our church body. One of our core values is to Pursue Community. It's an opportunity to get to know others better and encourage one another in our walk with Christ. It's an opportunity to make a large church just a bit smaller.
